Download Hamachi, make a server etc. in it and then from the ingame Start Multiplayer Game menu.
Easy.
Forward your ports. Create a game as you normally would. Use a password. Done.

Never, ever use Hamachi, just forward your ports.
srcds is easy as fuck to use, that's why every 12-year old and their friends have a shitty server in whatever game they're playing.

Forwarding on my BT homehub was an utter cunt, gladly my netgear is back in.
I had to rename my server in the address reservation menu to "christopherhind.dyndns.org" for port 80 to forward properly...
But how can i forward my ports on my crap router?
i have no idea (its an easy box 802, i dont know if it exists in england or america)
my old one was much better until it broke
so plz tell me more about hamachi or other ways to do that
Log into the router's administrative panel, it's probably a stupid website hosted on the router.
Probably on default passwords, find those from Google.
It's probably under something like the firewall-section or whatever.
