BSOD when changing number of processors (Windows 7)
4 replies, posted
I changed the number of processors a while ago to one so I could play a game, it has worked before, but now everytime I try to start win 7 it either gives me a BSOD or a black screen when I try to start in safe mode.
How do I fix this?
What do you mean changed number of processors?

You can change the number in the Bios I do believe. I never have disabled any cores myself.
Sounds like the locked die on that processor is faulty.
load failsafe settings in bios
