• Virtually no connectivity with wireless adapter.

I just recently finished putting together my new computer, everything works fine except for my internet. I use a Belkin wireless USB adapter, an F7D1101 to be precise, to connect to the family's router, but for some reason this computer gets almost no internet access through it. I can connect to the router just fine, but that's usually as far as I get. If it works at all, it'll be ridiculously slow (30 kb/s max download speed) but usually, I just can't get to the internet at all. Playing games seems a pretty sure way to knock me offline too, I lose connection just about any time I try to play. I've tested the adapter on all of the other computers in the house and it works fine, so I know it's not broken. I've also tried reinstalling the drivers and resetting the router, no results from those. I also know for sure that I'm not out of range because my previous computer that was sitting in the exact same spot worked just fine. I'm on Windows 7 Home Premium.
Did you use the same adapter with your previous computer? Some adapters are just bad, or just bad with certain signal qualities.

Do the other computers use the same operating system/use the same drivers?
Do the other computers use the same operating system/use the same drivers?
Same drivers, different OS's. Mine is Windows 7, the others are XP. But I used the same adapter and drivers on my other computer before I built this one. That one was Windows 7 too, and it worked fine there.
Make sure there are no wires dangling around the adapter, I've found this can significantly reduce signal quality. Turn the computer 90 degrees and see if this improves signal quality. Also try and move the router higher, and make sure that there are no wires obstructing it's antennas as well.
