Why a shame?

We have a full product not stretched by DLC.
You know exactly what you get for your money without eventually pumping more into it post release.

I've been tempted to get this, would it be worth it now or should I wait until a price-drop?

I would've actually liked to continue the story in small increments (raiding a small tomb/area) to allow some more character development/interaction. But seeing as how they wrapped up the story pretty well, it's probably better to wait for the next game and have the story progress properly.
