• CPU Usage at 100% after power surge; RAID changed to "VERIFY".

If a mod could change the title to Disk Usage instead of CPU, I'd be happy. Photo for reference; [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/ynekEbC.jpg[/thumb] After a seemingly random power surge I noticed my computer was acting ridiculously sluggish. A quick view of the task manager reveals that "System and Compressed Memory" is in constant competition with Service Hosts for nearly all of my Disk resources. I restarted to see if anything would be different, and then realized that the BIOS green text on startup had changed to a yellow "VERIFY" for my RAID settings. Is there anything here I can do, or am I boned? Hell, I just tried to take a puush and apparently it froze the program. Fantastic. DxDiag; [code]Operating System: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit (10.0, Build 10586) (10586.th2_release_inmarket.160222-1549) Language: English (Regional Setting: English) System Manufacturer: ASUS System Model: All Series BIOS: BIOS Date: 06/24/15 14:28:30 Ver: 25.01 Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4690K CPU @ 3.50GHz (4 CPUs), ~3.5GHz Memory: 8192MB RAM Available OS Memory: 8132MB RAM[/code]
I'm guessing it's scanning the RAID array for errors. Just leave it be for a few hours to let it complete.
Yeah it does the same thing for me after a power failure. Just give it a bit.
Well it's all good and fine now, but the disk usage is still absurdly high. [thumb]http://puu.sh/nw3nE/f5677cd71f.jpg[/thumb] This will jump up every 30~ minutes or so, but it seems to be stable-ish for now. Thanks for the advice above, however, it did infact sort itself out.
