Not surprising. Same thing happened to the Wii as well.
I had to wait more than a year before I could get one in-store; everyone was always out of stock.
I don't feel like jumping on getting one either, none of the launch titles really interest me. So I'll sit tight then.
I wonder why it sells so well, the launch line-up isn't that great in my opinion and I'm still not convinced that the assymetrical multiplayer (one guy with Pad, others with Remotes) will be a success.

My only concern is the rumoured price of a new pad for $150. That's pretty steep. And since it doesn't come with alternative controls it seems people who already have Wii's will be the ones who don't get the short stick at the start.
