Due to a motherboard burnout, I had to transfer my Radeonx700 to another computer. This case is smaller, with less fans, and it gets quite hot. My computer shuts itself down after 40minutes of intensive gaming, so I need quick method of cooling until then. I have a small tabletop fan that's pretty powerful..is it okay to have the case leaning against the computer (still covering 80%) and have the fan blowing into it from an angle?
Thanks FP!
You can have a case where you leave the side pannel open, it might catch more dust that way.
Having a "tabletop fan that's pretty powerful" blowing on your hardware might not be the best course of action.
The best course of action would be don't game with overheated/undercooled hardware.
Use that setup and dust regularly until you can buy a new Mobo, just make sure that case doesn't fall all over your shit (sounds like it could).
Its fine but dust build up will be an issue quickly.
Antec made a computer case that was mostly just the frame. They called it the Skeleton.

It's a bit more dangerous; you could spill liquid on it, it collects dust easier, etc.
But the best bet is to get better cooling hardware ASAP.
Get a bigger case with more fans, then get some dust filters for them.
It's safe, my PC was like that for ~2 years and only need a de-dusting about 1.5 years through
As a temporary solution it's fine.

I strongly recommend against these "caseless" frames. RF-wise they are very noisy.
It's just until Friday..I'm going to get a 2x 80mm expansion slot fan aimed at the gpu.

If your talking about the ones that go in the pci slots, those are exhaust fans, and you don't want intake in the back, you want the front pumping more air in, than is coming out.
