And the new DLC will be ammunition type, recurring monthly payments to rent weapons and new infinite health enemies that taser multiple people at once, indefinitely.
Doesn't overkill fully own the rights now?
Doesn't overkill fully own the rights now?
yes
Will it have even more DLC and even longer wait times for stuff that should of been in the game in the first place
yes
ahh, I was thinking starbreeze was the publisher of pd2, not 505 games I'm wondering what lasting effect this couldhave, positive or negative
I like the concept to Payday a lot, it's a shame Overkill is so horribly incompetent. If another studio took that concept made a better game with it, I'm sure I would love it.
PLEASE dont use the Diesel Engine
PLEASE dont use the Diesel Engine
Did they ever add jumping animations?
PLEASE dont use the Diesel Engine
I hope to Christ. Even the devs acknowledge how awful it is.
And the new DLC will be ammunition type, recurring monthly payments to rent weapons and new infinite health enemies that taser multiple people at once, indefinitely.
Basically it's to be made by NEXON.
Will it have even more DLC and even longer wait times for stuff that should of been in the game in the first place
tbh I'm sure a lot of it was them trying to wrangle a pretty fucked game engine into submission. I mean, it took them a while to get it delta-patching correctly, rather than redownloading the entire fucking content archive for a change every time. Please, just use something actually reasonable for a game engine.
payday 3 will actually be a dlc to payday 2
And the new DLC will be ammunition type, recurring monthly payments to rent weapons and new infinite health enemies that taser multiple people at once, indefinitely.
Nah, the civilians all open carry rifles and call the police while simultaneously shooting at you, follow you regardless of how stealthy you try to be, and, of course, count as collateral damage.
Did they ever add jumping animations?
They did Crimefest 2015 where they made us do a bunch of dumb bullshit to '''UNLOCK REWARDS''' that ~totally~ wouldn't have made it in to the game if we didn't do the stupid arbitrary challenges. Most of these rewards were microtransactions being added to the game. A couple heists, a bunch of shitty masks. A lot of minor features that they were going to add anyway. All of it was overshadowed by the microtransactions. Then the last day to make up for the shittiest event ever they put in jumping animations and jump based achievements that give you masks of memes that haven't been funny to anyone in 10 years like troll face and me gusta and doge. That was about when their bullshit had piled so high I had reached the breaking point and couldn't even enjoy the game because all I could think about was how fucking stupid Overkill is. So I uninstalled and haven't looked back in like 2 years.
I thought Overkill was making a Walking Dead game next? Or did that get cancelled?
I thought Overkill was making a Walking Dead game next? Or did that get cancelled?
Holy fuck I forgot about that. A lot of people were pretty hyped about it, the Telltale series was still ongoing when it was announced - I dunno if it still is, but it was super super popular at the time. That was ages ago, I haven't heard anything in like over a year about it
I thought Overkill was making a Walking Dead game next? Or did that get cancelled?
I thought they were making a whole VR headset a lot of Overkill/Starbreeze plans that seem to be up in the air these days
If they make PD3, they just need to do seasons like RB6 instead of releasing a stupid amount of DLC that just milks their player base.

They went back on paid microtransactions, they've been doing loads more free shit as well. All the paid weapon types have very good free variants now. They finally added a customizable safehouse (something I never cared about, but hey.) They drove me away for a small time but when they recommitted to the community they seem to have been acting in somewhat good faith. They still do a bunch of paid DLC but I sorta stopped buying because I don't care for what they're selling anymore, although I still play every now and then. All this said, I'm curious to see what lessons they will take with them for Payday 3. Don't have a huge problem with DLC personally, never have, but I wonder if they will continue with their (admittedly successful, yet controversial) DLC model or scrap it. I should also say that I did defend Microtransactions pretty hardcore back then and used to be a huge fan of the game so I'm biased, but they seem like they're interacting with the community more and actually listening. I'm more ambivalent these days though, I'm mostly burned out on Payday 2.
Basically it's to be made by NEXON.
Maplestory crossover when?

Its about time that was supposed to be a launch feature
Will it have even more DLC and even longer wait times for stuff that should of been in the game in the first place
Did they finally add the base customization which was announced back with the game?
Did they finally add the base customization which was announced back with the game?
Only just a few months ago iirc
PLEASE dont use the Diesel Engine
Diesel is basically scrapped for further game development. We're using a different engine for future projects called Valhalla.
I thought Overkill was making a Walking Dead game next? Or did that get cancelled?
OTWD is in full production right now. Of course I can't talk about it, but I can say I sit just down the lane from a huge team working on it.
I thought they were making a whole VR headset
StarVR is also still being worked on. That's being developed in a whole different country though, so I dunno the status of it. I just know it is being developed. v:v:v
it was given as a ''reward'' lmfao
I feel like people misunderstand the point of making such a "big deal" out of jump animations. It was basically a huge gag, it wasn't meant to be taken seriously at all. It was something people had been at us about for so long that it basically became an in-joke in the community, same with the safe house. It was never a priority to add, but once we actually got around to it we figured "let's play with the joke of it". :vs:
so? more chromatic abberation?

Oh actually, they didn't. [editline]17th February 2017[/editline] I'm sorry but Crimefest 2015 was literally the worst Payday 2 thing ever.

We know and acknowledge that. v:v:v It could have been done way better. The milestones were supposed to be fun challenges and it ended up not really being delivered in the best way it could have been. Again - making a big deal out of jump animations was literally just to fulfill the ongoing in-joke within the community. We could've just released it as a patch and that'd be that, but it wouldn't be nearly as fun. It was a goof, but maybe it wasn't the right time to do it.
so? more chromatic abberation?
You're not thinking big enough man!!! Payday 3 is going to fully simulate a broken camera sensor with dead pixels, dreadfully slow autofocus and a scratched up skater-style fisheye lense.
