Need help choosing a motherboard; best build quality?

I feel like my current motherboard is dying (biostar ta970), it hangs on boot pretty often and has been giving me trouble lately, i'm not sure if im not getting enough power or what. I'm trying to upgrade to a board with the 990fx chipset.
My gpu is a gtx 770 and my processor is a fx-8350
Boards I have found:
ECS

Gigabyte

ASrock

Go with the gigabyte. ECS is terrible, Asrock isn't that good either. MSI is also an excellent choice on par with the gigabyte.
Just to add a personal testimony, I love my Gigabyte Z87X-D3H. Bios is beautiful and overclocking was a breeze. In general stick to Gigabyte and MSI. Asus makes great boards, but they are overpriced for the features, so I generally tend not to recommend them unless you are going for the extreme high end. EVGA also makes pretty good motherboards, but they usually stick to high end enthusiast and server stuff.
is there a big difference between the chipsets aka the amd 970 or 990fx?
970 needs a bios flash for newer chips, if it has a bios update. Which you'd need an older chip for. So get the 990 I think.

Not for vishera
I believe some newer 970 motherboards are already compatible with FX CPUs.

Good to know. Most of my AMD CPU knowledge is their base architecture and when to use them. My knowledge of their generations and compatible motherboards is pretty low.
Gigabyte. Only boards I've ever used, never had a single issue. They also look really nice.
