I don't know if this has been posted before. If it is, I'm sorry. So my friend told me about this cool site that checks your PC and a game and sees if your computer meets the requirements to run it. http://cyri.systemrequirementslab.com/CYRI/ I think it's pretty sweet, so I thought I'd share it all with you. :D I'm sorry if this is a repost or useless to you high techy guys, I'm just trying to help. (Also- If it gets stuck at "Installing Components..." just refresh the page!) Screenshots:
Really, really old news, bro, and it's bullshit most of the time.
aw shit my bad
all this checks is the game's minimum requirements against your system's specs.
This site's pretty unreliable in some cases. and it's been around for ages.
My Nana's computer fails at nearly all of these tests apart from very old games and for some reason it gets full bar on Half Life 2.
Well it's your nana's computer, Probably built with the idea that she would simply flick an email to family once in a while... But yeah that's odd :/
I actually bought it with her YEARS ago. I don't mind it being like that. It's a Packard Bell, but it's not too bad. Reformatted and reinstalled XP not too long ago, now its super fast.
It told me that my old laptop could run Crysis but not HL2. Too inaccurate to rely on.
This told me I couldnt run Fallout 3 because i had windows 7 :eng99:
That is REALLY old!
This told me I couldnt run Fallout 3 because i had windows 7 :eng99:
Normally CYRI tells you that this software MAY not run on your computer and is not officially compatible with Windows 7. That is NOT to say it's NOT compatible.
It only measures by RAM or conpletly by random. I have been told.
Yeah, this thing is really inaccurate. It said my old computer couldn't run HL2, but it could.
Or just check the minimum requirements yourself?
It think my 6core phenom 2 is a pentium 4 so i fail at almost everything.
this is inaccurate as fuck
It once told me 4GB is 512Mb of ram, i gave up on this site ages ago.
This is so late that I just...
It once told me 4GB is 512Mb of ram, i gave up on this site ages ago.
512MB would actually be 4Gb Edit: wow 11 dumbs for stating a fact :smug:
It used to tell me I failed everytime because apparently I had no hard drive space at all
The site is only good if you want an estimation.
The site is only good if you want an estimation.
this site is only good if you're looking for something to print out and wipe your arse with
good, effective, working alternate: http://www.yougamers.com
This is inaccurate too.
