What's wrong with the game? I haven't seen much of it or played it but i'll give the free version a try anyway.

If you want a game like UT2k4, play UT2k4. If you want a game like UT2k4 but modern for whatever reason, play the new UT. There's no reason for this to exist as it's a more expensive and unneeded alternative
I thought this game was supposed to succeed Quake, not UT.
Yeah I know they're fast paced arena shooters but isn't Quake faster?

That's like saying there's no reason for UT to exist because Quake already does. Yeah they're pretty similar but it's not literally the same game, just another game in the same arena shooter genre.
