When I launch supreme commander 2, it says launching... for like a second the closes. I have tried verifying cache, and other various things to fix it. I really would appreciate some help.
Might be a simple question, but have you restarted Steam/computer? That happened to me once or twice and it works.
Ill attempt to restart, maybe itll work. EDIT:Nope, that didnt work. Same old shit...
Maybe try this? http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1170620 I know your problem isn't validating, but maybe removing the .exe and verifying game cache might work?
Nope, that didn't work. I really wanna play : (
Press ctrl+alt+delete and go to Processes and see if Supreme commander 2 is running in the background. If it is click on it and go to end process.
I don't think it is running
I found this on the support https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=6218-USFX-5568 try number 6 in particular. If that doesn't work, try the others.
I cant believe it, but none of those things work. This doesnt make any sense.
What is your antivirus? This happened to me with my games and now I have to disable it before I run steam or I can't run games, same type of problem you are having.
I cant believe it, but none of those things work. This doesnt make any sense.
Wow, then I don't have a clue lol. Try contacting Steam support by clicking on "contact support" at the top left. https://support.steampowered.com/ Sorry I couldn't help. Hope you get to play the game soon!
Avast!. I already disabled that. Its kinda strange, like steam cant even start the process or something. [editline]10:01PM[/editline] I cant believe it. I did the most obscure thing possible, and it worked. I went to the bin folder in the supreme commander 2 folder, ran the exe, and noticed an error that said bad image for d3dx9_42.dll. I downloaded the stated dll, put it in my windows system32 folder, and the game started!
