• £350 - £400 Build

I'm looking to build a computer for a total cost of between £350 and £400, mainly for gaming. I don't know what kind of performance I'd get for that price, but would I be able to play a lot of high-end games (e.g. Crysis) on medium settings at a decent framerate? Also, since I live in the UK, newegg is sadly out of the question.
Gaming build for £350. No.
Gaming build for £350. No.
I'm not meaning to run everything on high. It's mostly source games I'm playing, and even then I'm willing to play on low graphics.
unless you're able to reuse a lot of stuff, highly doubt it

Thanks for that. I'm new to PC building so I don't really know what sort of performance I'd get for my money.
Like 300fps in gmod singleplayer. [editline]04:54PM[/editline] I think.

Idk, never played GTA4. [editline]05:03PM[/editline] Look up benchies
I've done some googling, from what I've seen it looks very reasonable.
overclockers.co.uk

I would spend the extra money and get this psu http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-017-CS&groupid=701&catid=123&subcat= Bit higher wattage and I haven't been a fan of the antec basiq.
Is the extra wattage necessary?
Not sure but it is the next cheapest psu on overclockers.
I'd say yes. I personally would never go under 400w with a 4850.
Yeah get the better PSU. That's very low.
350W is fine. [editline]04:01PM[/editline] It's starting to get annoying how everyone assumes you need 500W to run the most basic of things. That is total system power consumption, by the way.
I would still go with a 400 watt if he would like to upgrade of overclock.
Because overclocking is going to make his card use 120W more. Try maybe 15W more at the most.
u dum
u dum
Another quality post from the OIFY-retard-gone-PCHS-troll.
;18390917']Because overclocking is going to make his card use 120W more. Try maybe 15W more at the most.
Upgrading card later and overclocking a cpu. Also the other psu is an antec basiq they are crappy.
Upgrading card later and overclocking a cpu. Also the other cpu is an antec basiq they are crappy.
CPU =/= Case.
CPU =/= Case.
and case =/= PSU.
and case =/= PSU.
Give both of us bad readings.
and case =/= PSU.
Typing fail. :suicide:
Upgrading card later and overclocking a cpu. Again, overclocking the CPU is not going to raise the wattage by any more than 15W.
