What is the standard for spamming that can get you banned?

I've been told by several people now that to keep people from supercharging their post count, there's an automatic ban for spamming. What's the standard on this? Is it, say, 100 posts in half an hour or something similar to this?

There's no automatic ban for spamming.

Even if there was an autoban for spamming, you're not really in any danger because 100 posts in 30 minutes is a damn impressive feat.

Now that you mention how often you post I feel slow
And if Facepunch had auto bans again (wasn't around for when they were so I'm not sure if spamming was one of them) most of us would be gone
