Hey guys,
I am tossing and turning over what graphics card to get for my PC. I have narrowed it down to an ATI 4650 or an NVIDIA 220. I am only a casual gamer and dont need a top end card. I play games such as Left 4 Dead (1 and 2), Modern Warfare 2, Counter Strike: Source, Day of Defeat: Source and Team Fortress 2. I would also like to know if either of these card will work with my system.
I am looking at these cards from centercom and links are below:

and

My Specs are as follows:
CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200 @ 2.33 GHz
RAM: 2GB RAM
OS: Windows Vista Home Basic SP2 (32 bit)
Mother Board: Gigabyte EG43M-S2H
Current GPU: NVIDIA 7600GT
Power Supply: Unknown. Checking this afternoon, will update when I find out.
Thanks.

The GT220 is slightly better than the 4650; it's comparable to the 4670 I think.
This card would be the best choice, then.

I'd get a 4670.

would the 4670 work with my current motherboard?

If it has a PCI Express 2.0 x16 connector thingy, yes.
EDIT: I opened up my case this morning and my PSU casing says max output 250W, but I am guessing that this is the sticker from my stock PSU because surely 250W cannot run my current specs can it?
If it says max output 250 then the max out put is 250W. I wouldn't try running a 4670 on that.

But I wouldnt have thought that 250W could even run my current specs

IIRC 16x is what you are looking for. No 4670 for you I think.

They do exaggerate the requirement, but 250 is taking it a step too far in my opinion.
HD4890 only 200 nigga

Naa a 4670 would run on a good quality 250 watt but if it is not a good quality it wouldn't.

Or a 4850 for half the price.
Yeah, either get 5770, 5850 or 5870. All of 'em are cheap since ati finally realized that not everyone can buy their overprized shit.

Hell no. Even the 5770 is too much for him, no need to buy an powerful card for Source games (and MW2).
9600GT is perfect for source games. Might be getting a little old now, but I was running TF2 at 1440x900 all maxxed out on one @ 90fps.
Might pay you to get an extra stick of ram aswell mate.

My father paid a 9500GT, and it was the worst crap ever.
Don't know if 9600GT has the same problems.
Your mobo's pci-e slot only operates at x4 bandwidth. I'm pretty sure that's gonna bottleneck both the 4650 and GT220.
