Ive been having a problem with my audiodg.exe using too much memory, like right now it says on processes it's using 109,028k. It usally runs about 40,000k to 60,000k.
I read a article awhile back that could have caused it problems something to do with x-fi or something, I thought I would ask here sense well I've seen a lot of good feedback from people with good answer's.
Also when it gets above 100,000k. It can crash an i have to close like. Mozilla, skype, an game that I'm playing that causes sound. Wait a few mins an it's back up so I can hear stuff again.
I also found this, not sure if this sure is a fix..

Make sure you uninstall any custom audio managers, they can cause problems because they can conflict with the built in windows one
I don't have any custom audio mangers, other than xsplit(Not sure if that qualifies.) I got sb x-fi mb which is the onboard sound I use I think.
Also, finally crashed again an sound rebooted after I turned off all sound generating stuff. Steam messanger/Skype/mozilla/game.
Bump! Still need some help with this.
Try removing the two programs you mentioned
I think I know have a clue to fixing the problem. But I dont know where to start.
Its not the programs. any program that uses the sound on a constant basis like Skype when your in a call. Its using sound 24/7 and even when I'm afk. The program shouldn't show up till I play music or load a game or something that initiates sound usage, Is there something out there that show's you what is using audiodg.exe directly.
Not sure If im making sense but I mean like.
I go afk and when I return after monitor and that go into sleep mode. the audiodg.exe will load up the second I open a file or play some music, something I do and I can't figure out what exactly is doing it. It will keep building usage on audiodg.exe untill it reaches 135,000k an crashes and i have to close all things that make sounds. An bam its fixed after I wait a few mins but it will continue the problem till I restart an then after a while or something causes it to use to much memory again.
Try Removing the audio driver software. Windows should use the built in driver which lacks the problematic program.
