Could some users post some of their favorite and best known (or unknown) cooperative games? (Having a friend come over and I'd like to have a few games setup and ready to play!) Cooperative game mods are welcome too. Thanks! Borderlands 1 & 2, Saints Row: The Third, Rayman Origins, and Lost-Planet 2? (Wouldn't know, have it, never tried Co-op, haha.)
warframe is fun to play co-op
Obligatory.
Left 4 Dead Portal 2 Alien Swarm
Alien Swarm Left 4 Dead 2 Killing Floor
Not sure if you're on 1 screen or not, if you are then I absolutely recommend any Lego game for co-op If you aren't then any of these too: - Resident evil 5 (not 6, never 6) - Supreme Commander/Company of Heroes/Age of Empires II vs AI mainly - Worms Armageddon - Trials HD is pretty hilarious racing each other - any Halo - Minecraft/Terraria (obviously, always fun for a little while) - Dawn of War II whilst having no base-building has a pretty fun semi-RPG campaign with loot and leveling - Left 4 Dead 1 and 2 - Killing floor! - Shogun 2 and Civilization 5 have fun co-op modes but only if you're in it for the long run
L4D2 PAYDAY
I like Journey.
Anno 2070's multiplayer can be done in a co-op fashion, which is pretty cool. You can both build the same city, save it, and then continue it on your own singleplayer worlds afterwards. It's a beautiful game, too.
Future Cop LAPD :v:
Killing Floor which is already suggested alot. And perhaps Super Smash Bros.
Doom 3 with the Last Man Standing mod This thing's survival gamemode (or whatever the hell was it's name) is hard and is fun But you can also experience the original story with coop and some original Doom maps redesigned
Borderlands 2
Journey, Portal 2, DKC
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas with co-op mod
Maybe Max Payne 3 Coop DLC?
Splinter Cell Chaos Theory has a wicked co-op campaign.
Tactical shooters are the best with friends
Makes me want to play some Tom Clancy Rainbow 6 (Vegas 2) now.
Portal 2's co-op is fantastic. It leads to both laughter and a sense of how stupid both your partner and yourself can be.
The only one I've played that hasn't been mentioned is Dead Rising 2. [editline]4th May 2013[/editline] Oh, and Castle Crashers.
Monaco or Torchlight 2. There's also Magicka (I personally don't like it that much though) or Trine 1 & 2 (I've never played them, but I've heard they're good). If you have a lot of time you can also try a Paradox strategy game (Crusader Kings, Europa Universalis, Victoria...). Or Endless Space (basically Civilization in space). (These aren't necessarily the best co-op games but they haven't been mentioned)
Borderlands 2 is pretty fucking sweet for co-op, and portal 2 is incredibly good for a single run through. It's easy at first but holy shit it gets hard later on. The dude I played with and I got stuck on a few challenges near the end of campaign and holy shit we just went "ummm" and "uuuuh" for like two goddamn hours. I then got up off my fat ass and just looked up a guide and it was so hilariously easy.
I played through Trine 2 recently and it was fucking fun.
Oh, and cod blops 1 and 2 zombies is pretty hype.

I'd have said Rayman Origins if it wasn't already included in the OP, this is probably the best game I've played split screen. The gameplay, music and graphics are all amazing. Another one that hasn't already been mentioned is Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light. Not the best game ever but pretty entertaining, and you can play through it a few times if you're a completionist (trying to get good times on every level isn't that easy!). Definitely on my recommanded coop list. [editline]5th May 2013[/editline] Split/Second can be neat in split screen if you have a few friends taking turns. I wouldn't spend hours on it but it's good in short bursts.
cry of fear co-op is fucking hilarious.
Crash Bash Killing Floor Castle Crashers L4D (1,2) [sp]Minecraft and Garry's mod if it even counts as coop...[/sp]
Resident evil 5 was one of the best split screen co operative experiences I've ever had
cry of fear co-op is fucking hilarious.
Oh my god me and my friend did this and this is the most hilarious and horrifying thing ever,
