This is amazing, I really like the Warriors series. Altough it looks somewhat bad and the animations look horrible, shame that's it only on the WiiU.

A friend of mine suggested that it takes place during some famous battle mentioned in LBW, but from what I'm guessing, they haven't worked on the story much.

There's probably not going to be any reference to the actual Dynasty Warriors. Sorry about that, try not to die!
That "trailer" looks like a prototype. There's exactly one area and one character in it, 2D explosions clipping through the ground and enemies popping in.
gameplay looks awesome, certainly a worthy crossover and looks to be a fun title. i hope they have co-op because that would be awesome (off tv splitscreen plz guys)

If Groose gets announced, he'll be the closest thing to Lu Bu you'll get.
I am literally so happy I'm getting a Wii-U for christmas it's lineup is better than any other console atm.

Yeah, it kinda shows how many Wii U titles are still early on in development
I mean, for christ sakes, how the hell is King Dodongo on the surface rolling around? It's appearance suggests that they're just getting a feel for how the game should be.
The good thing is, the fact that Dynasty Warriors is such a large series, they won't have to worry too much about gameplay being shit.

Hey, there were a few benefits to launching early...sure it came with a lot of bad, but hey, it's not like Nintendo doesn't have an absurd amount of money stockpiled.
Kinda cool seeing Link fighting alongside Hyrulian soldiers. Those guys never get the credit they deserve.

The biggest threats in Dynasty Warriors are the other Warriors while the soldiers are just kind of fodder.
As the series has progressed and they've been able to have more soldiers on screen they've had to scale them back in terms of agressiveness/damage or else you'll just get stunlocked and killed if every enemy soldier hits you.
Go back to dynasty warriors 3, soldiers go fucking nuts on you even on normal.
