Off of Craig's List, I picked up two Dell refurbs. They guy preloaded Win7 Ultimate and Office 2007 Professional. He told me that he gets the computers, loads on the software, and then resells them. He also said that it was a UK key so if I reinstall or anything, I need to change the locale back to US. The Office and Win7 reinstall CDs are CD-Rs in a case with the key written on them. I was wondering if this is actually legit.
He said it was Windows 7 Enterprise or something.
Craigslist stuff is always fishy but it could be off an MSDN subscription. Can you update the software and does Windows recognize if its genuine or not? To be honest if it comes preloaded Windows 7 Enterprise + Office 2007 pro I'd put my money on not legit.
Windows says that it's genuine.

Nevermind, key's on the net.
Keygen possibly? :tinfoil:
Also, why do you say legit, it makes you sound like a 12 year old kid.
Same with Office.

:raise: There's nothing wrong with using the word "legit". For example "that Rolex watch isn't legit" or "that Ebay seller isn't legit". It must be a region thing if it sounds off to you.
How about this questions now, is there anything I can do about it? It's permanently authenticated according to the Windows Validation tool. Could I go on using two computers like this in a business environment?

What would you prefer him to use? It's perfectly acceptable.

Legitimate

But w/e
Maybe it is something regional. I always heard it as legit. Would it be fine using this software in a small business environment?
Windows 7 Ultimate
Office 2007 Pro
Yes
He probably used one of the win7 loaders which tricks w7 into thinking it's not fake.
It's an OEM VLK. All that matters is that the BIOS supports it, which most OEMs do.

No, you're just a clueless moron.

Please don't say w/e it makes you sound like a 12 year old kid.
I'd ask the seller for a mobile phone number as well as a home phone number. Call both, this will be essential if he proves to be false.
Also what are you paying through?
