• What brand of 5870?

Ok, so, the 5870 seems quite appealing and since i'm planning on building my PC soon, I'll probably buy one. My question is, which brand should I go for? What are the benefits etc. I'll probably be buying from overclockers (united kingdom). The brand that they stock are - Gigabyte, Asus, HIS, Powercolor, Sapphire and XFX. Thanks in advance. XFX, or Sapphire. I have a Sapphire HD 4830 and I haven't had any problems with it so far, I've had it a year.
XFX, it has a double lifetime warranty.
XFX, it has a double lifetime warranty.
I thought lifetime warranties were bullshit?
Thanks for the quick replies. The double lifetime warranty sounds quite nice. Edit: On overclockers it says the XFX has a 2 year warranty?
Go for XFX or Sapphire
W/e is cheapest.
Sapphire has 2 free games with it. It's pretty tempting. Now it's basically between XFX and Sapphire. If you guys had to choose, what one would you get?
Sapphire.
XFX, My Sapphire 5870 just died.
XFX, My Sapphire 5870 just died.
Huh?
I'd go XFX or ASUS. [editline]01:02AM[/editline] HIS have some pretty nice coolers
Huh?
Buy a XFX 5870.
XFX, My Sapphire 5870 just died.
Bullshit, your 5870 didn't just randomly die.
Bet he overclocked the f*ck out of it.
Bullshit, your 5870 didn't just randomly die.
Yea you're right, this is completely normal. [editline]12:10AM[/editline]
Bet he overclocked the f*ck out of it.
You seem to have misplaced a u in your fuck. And I did OC it, but the temperatures never passed 70C, even under intense load. [editline]12:16AM[/editline] Not to mention people with the same card as me pushed it farther than I did with no problems. I've always used XFX for Video Cards.
I've always used Sapphire and I've never had a problem with them.
Asus
Since they all perform the same it all comes down to personal preference. I think the XFX looks the most badass. With the Asus coming second with a more simple design. Gigabyte design isn't bad either. Don't worry about the two games shit. Battlestations wasn't an outstanding game. It's mediocore. The only game worth it would be Dirt 2.
I would say sapphire it is like 10 pounds cheaper.
Yea you're right, this is completely normal. Still, it's not going to fry.
XFX is a solid brand. And they have great customer support from my experience, and stand by there mail-in-rebates too I have always got mine.Plus as mentioned before the warranty's great.Go XFX.
You are lucky you get to choose a brand. :/ Over here, most are sold out. Always, I'd choose xfx because I herd Sapphire had bad customer support
Yea you're right, this is completely normal.
lol warez
