I thought that if the ball carrier crosses the plane (end zone) in possession of the ball, whether he fumbles or not (especially beyond the field of play), that it's considered a touchdown..
Thoughts? Btw this happened at the Giants vs Redskins game today (12/14/2014)
I'm pretty sure that it's not a touchdown if the carrier doesn't maintain control of the ball, but I could be wrong here. Also, is this the proper section for this?
It could have been posted in the American Football general but it's not a big deal. Also, no I don't think it is a touchdown because he does not have possession of the ball.
