The article isn't wrong: Medium [I]seems[/I] a lot better in that regard than almost any other platform. The overall professional style really helps, but I think it's ultimately down to them being very good at hiding low-quality content: - Only reading counts, so clickbait doesn't float. - Of the replies, you only see those recommended by the author of what you read or those you follow, and those written (and maybe replied to?) by the author of the post, by people you follow or yourself. Effectively, this means you won't ever run into low-effort content unless you go out of your way to see it. (You can "Show More" replies to what you read, but I don't think there's a "most recent" page or anything like that.)
