Hey guys, i'm currently paying for 100 Mbps internet and i get only like 40 Mbps (5 MB/s ). For example if i'm downloading something it goes to 5 MB/s max, like there was a barrier (never was at 5.1 or 5.2 MB/s). I have Asus WL520GC router and my network card is integrated to mobo (P5B-E Plus, in control panel it shows that its 100 Mbps, so it can't be the problem). You might say its the line, but when i connect two computers in LAN ( pc -> router <- pc ) still the speed doesn't go above 5 MB/s. All cables are UTP 5E category. My HDD is Barracuda 7200.9 320 GB via SATA I. I'm desperate, anyone has any ideas?

I could be wrong but I seriously doubt you are paying for a 100mbps internet connection, where do you live and what is your ISP?
Klaipeda, Lithuania. TEO. If thats the speed i'm getting from the ISP, why is it 5 MB/s in LAN ? (home)
You sure it is 100mb/s from your provider.? It always says 100MB/S on the control panel because that is the max most internet cards support. Even if you have dial-up it still says 100mb/s max.

Yeah, i get only 5 MB/s between machines that are IN MY HOME
Try connecting computers directly via ethernet cable. If that works full speed, you'll need to take a closer look at router configuration - also, if possible, try another router and possibly another cable (unlikely to be the problem, but if you have a spare, test it) [editline]10:28PM[/editline] http://www.asus.com/product.aspx?P_ID=Pq3TmwugpKCFDkV5 Look for firmware in the download tab and see if your version is older. If yes, update.
