if you have a smartphone download the check-list app iirc its called dcs manager on android, and there's a few on ios, tbh i dont really think its necessary you pick stuff up playing the tutorials a few times but they have useful airfield diagram feature with the frequency you might need if using realistic radio
also if you bought it and noones online it might because people switched to dcs world instead, you can still use your steam key with world its so you dont require a separate install for the various modules (black shark 2, p-51d, combined arms)
Why did the guys in the video take off on the Taxi Runway?
Good thing there weren't any AI taxi'ing
this game frustrated me incredibly because whenever I did finally get the start up sequence correct, I either clipped my wing on a hangar and fell to pieces or my engines would spontaneously turn off before taking off and wouldn't come back on.
This is a study sim.
Don't think you can just read a manual once and you're going to be up in the sky in 20 minutes.
With a TM HOTAS Warthog and TrackIR this is a dream sim full of rich fidelity, but can still be enjoyed with a Logitech 3D Extreme or the like.
If you have an attention span that goes beyond an hour, this is the sim for you!

BTW, the game is now a module for "DCS World", meaning you can play with people who are piloting other kinds of aircraft.
