• Laptop for schoolwork

I need a laptop for schoolwork as the school laptops we have are absolutely awful. Are chromebooks worth getting? I don't mind the small harddrive as I can also use dropbox and shit. (I see there's an Acer chromebook with 400gb harddrive but I refuse to use Acer, only had bad experiences with them) If they're not recommended, I need a decent laptop for max $600/470€/400£ (about 4000SEK) Schoolwork in this case is simple stuff like MS powerpoint, word and stuff like that. I usually use these sites but you can use any you want (the price is what's important though, prices in sweden are very different from other countries outside scandinavia) http://www.komplett.se/ http://www.webhallen.se/ http://www.inet.se (press webbshop)
Chromebooks kind of limit you a bit too much as they use Chrome OS
What is the minimum screensize?

You know, if it's just for schoolwork, and basic business type stuff, documents, presentations, etc, you could go to a pawn shop and get a cheap older laptop, one that's still light and not ancient of course, and put Linux on it. Ubuntu has really stepped up their game since the last time I tried it. I don't use it now because I play games on my desktop, and even though they've got like 5 of my games on Linux, it's not all 40 of them.

Sometimes stolen and you get the police on your ass and you don't get your money back. WHEN he could buy a new good Lenovo.

Yea well go to a reputable pawn shop...jeez people stop being so damn paranoid. If the cops are on your ass, and you were SMART after your purchase, your receipt would PROVE where you got it, and that means the pawn shop is now in trouble, not you. It's not "oh you're the one who has it now, so we are taking you in" when really, it's a chain event, and the chain ended with who has it. It's called following leads, it's what cops do. If you hate cops that much just start waving a flag around with your head up your ass.

I can link to websites with pictures also doesn't mean all t-rex fly.

It might still hinder yet. AND pawn shops are dangerous these days.
