does the mini keyboard work? I'd love if so.
does the mini keyboard work? I'd love if so.
on the website it says
2 USB ports: plug in a USB keyboard and use as a fully functional home computer, or add a second joystick for 2-player games
makes me think maybe it doesn't... :c
They're also making a full-size one that's supposed to come out next year for $150. I'm a lot more interested in this myself.

I know the SID chip is a bastard to emulate right.
I'd love to have one of these. I have a real Commodore 64, but the cassette drive is slow and unreliable. I have two cassette drives and one of them is already malfunctioning. Real hardware needs maintenance and is getting more expensive to replace. Also this thing is just cute, I like miniaturized versions of real things. The only real problem I have with these mini consoles and computers is that they only support HDMI. That's a dealbreaker for me. For one I don't have any HDMI displays, and playing retro games on anything other than an old CRT just feels wrong. You can get an active adapter but that will add delay.
you can load from a phone or pc cant you?
I'm not sure what you mean. Load what? Programs and games? I guess it's technically possible with cassette adapters. I have several but I've had no success. Playing an audio file through an adapter can't simulate the stops a real cassette drive makes.
