• Ideas for shots for a sequence I need to shoot?

I have a few ideas of shots, but it needs to be a sequence with nobody acting in it as we have to book out a camera, but I can't get anyone last minute as my mate can't make that day. It's for our camera class so really, the aim ISN'T story, but more how we get shots, how we use the camera and settings, etc. (I could shoot this again in a couple of weeks time WITH an actor, just I need something as back up so I don't fail) I have some ideas like focusing on an object close up blurred, but changing the depth of field so the background becomes blurred meaning the foreground is in focus. Other ideas I thought of was to start with a panning shot on the bank of a river, but slowly panning 180 degrees, looking one way to the other hoping to create paranoia. Also, a low angled shot, but the camera is crooked to one side. 28 Days Later had some great cinematography that influenced me, but I have no idea how I would go about a sequence with nobody in it. It just feels like a "bunch of shots randomly together".
