Hi everyone! Been a few years since I've decided to build a machine and I was wondering if all of these components were compatible with eachother? Could you also give me your opinion on whether or not it would be able to run Guild wars 2, or generally new releases over the coming months. It won't be able to run any modern games on high settings, the CPU is far too old and slow, the 550 Ti isn't very good as well, and the CPU will still probably bottleneck it. Why are you buying LGA 775 stuff? It's not worth the money. I'm trying to get money to get away from LGA 775. Anyways it will work, but I'd say just save your money.
Cheers for the reply, I'll review the money situation, it just seems like Mobo's and CPU's are made of gold these days and cost the riches of arabia.
Whats your budget, maybe we can help you build a PC.
Well, I've re-done the build and I was debating building this instead with a few tweaks to the original. Mobo: http://www.ebuyer.com/267317-asrock-p67-pro3-se-socket-1155-8-channel-hd-audio-atx-motherboard-p67-pro3-se CPU: http://www.ebuyer.com/254976-intel-core-i3-2100-3-10ghz-socket-1155-3mb-l3-cache-retail-boxed-bx80623i32100 What do you think? Same GPU unless you could find me one within a similar price range, I've been looking but had no luck so far.
Get a GTX 460 or 6850, the 550ti is kind of a waste.
I've just had a look at the 6850, looks like a nice card. Thanks for the advice man :)
No problem.
Good revamp. A 6850, i3-2100 and a P67 mobo is miles ahead of that LGA 775 build.
