Yeah, if there's anything to be a graphics snob about, it ain't Overwatch. I run it on my PC, which uses an outdated graphics card that was pretty good when Skyrim was brand new, but can't run much complex stuff now, and it runs perfectly fine. I can't use ultra settings but the game's visuals really aren't that harmed by that. In fact, I regularly forget the visuals can get better. Low is perfectly acceptable in my book. It just goes to show that a great, stylized look will end up being better on all settings, than a game that depends on gritty or realistic visuals.
It's all about shooting things between either red outlines or jagged red outlines! :v:
Between ultra and high textures nothing seems to change anyway, Roadhogs gut tattoo still looks low quality.
Playing on high settings usually isn't advisable anyways since it just means you've got more contrasting crap in your face. Doesn't really matter for OW though since you can't see shit regardless of settings: [t]http://i.imgur.com/NaFAvRA.png[/t]

Overwatch is crazy well optimized, Low really trims the fat in all the right places. Unimportant props, soft bodies/animated meshes, lighting effects etc are hidden away but the texture and model work are good enough for the game to look modern. One thing that really got me when I upgraded and switched to ultra were the materials and shaders. Low seems to really lower their effect or just not use them, but even on Medium you can see the difference specular makes (different outfits have different 'shininess' values to em which helps differentiate various 'fabrics', say, Tracer's Sporty vs Posh) and how normals and other things like that interact (Reinhardt's Stonehardt skin doesn't look very different to metals on low, but it has an a pretty incredible stone-like look on High)
I just grabbed some random screenshot of it, I thought it was pretty well known that the game just has godawful bloom? Watchpoint, Temple of Anubis and Numbani are the worst offenders. I'm fairly sure there's no setting that affects it.
Yeah, the Overwatch beta ran decently well on the computers in my high school programming class last year, and they use integrated graphics.
No idea what you guys are running on but my dedicated gpu can just barely handle minimum settings. It may be quite a bit older but it's certainly no integrated chip (HD 5870).

well i guess im the minority then, my computer cant run overwatch very well on lowest settings it chugs on most things
Once you play on low, a lot of the FPS has to do with CPU. The game eats up CPU cycles.
