Every time i scroll in Opera 10.10 my computer screen flashes then goes to a solid screen then crashes. It was working fine for a week before. Firefox works fine and Internet Explorer works fine. Anyone know what might be causing this? Specs are AMD Athlon 64 x2 Dual Core Processor 5600+ 2.90 GHz 2 Gigs of ram (Removed 1gig to see if it was the problem but it wasnt) Radeon HD 5770 (XFX) 300 Gigs on harddrive Windows 7 64 bit
use a different browser then?
What do you mean it crashes? Is it a BSOD? Or does the computer just shut down? Or is it just opera that crashes? Did you add any plug-ins or addons? Have you tried reinstalling opera?
Opera crashes the whole computer when i scroll. No BSOD. it just a black screen or a blue screen with white stripes. Closing windows causes the system to restart too but opera does it the most when i scroll for some reason. I'm using firefox atm. I disabled aero theme. Seems to lower the chances but it restarted on me once. [editline]10:16AM[/editline] I fixed it somehow...
This seems to be a problem with the new 5000 series. Apparently disabling the sound car on the graphics card and fix this. And if your overclocking, you may not be able to do so as much. I was just looking this up and it seems a realy bummer.
