• Going to start my first gaming build, need advice on where I can cut costs.

I think it has too much for what I need, though. Probably the most intensive gaming I'd want to do is; Skyrim/BF3/Mount & Blade Warband/Borderlands at Max/high settings. That and some video editing here and there. Need to know if I can drop to a lower i5 processor (or even an AMD), if I can drop to a cheaper video card, and general money saving all around. What's your absolute maximum budget?
If you're not planning on overclocking you can skip the CPU cooler and just go with the stock heatsink.
