I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit and I had two shortcuts pinned to my superbar, photoshop and firefox. A few weeks ago the firefox shortcut got unpinned, there was no option to repin it when it was open and when I try to drag and drop the shortcut onto the superbar the cursor displays the no sign. I opened my laptop today and discovered that photoshop has done the same thing.
Any reason why it's doing this, and maybe how I can fix it? It's seriously irritating me.
And yes I googled, couldn't find anything.
Are the shortcuts still in: %appdata%\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\User Pinned\TaskBar
Nope, it's empty. I'll try putting the shortcuts in there and restarting.

Just placing them there won't work. There's something in the registry (or somewhere) that tells it to use those icons. Though I have no idea where.

Damnit Microsoft what the fuck did you do this for.
At least make it possible for MSIs to put shortcuts down there, I'm pissed about them being put on my desktop when I don't want them there.

They made it that difficult because they believe the user should be in control. Although being able to do so my self contradicts that.
Yeah they're not in there.
A registry thing? Fucking microsoft.
Yeah they're not in there.

I assume. After search I haven't seen anything regarding the links except recently pinned (which for me only showed 2). It's really stupid.

I'm not even going to bother searching through the registry. Hopefully it will get fixed in the next W7 update. I'll email MS about it or something.
Upon closer inspection I've noticed that I can't pin anything to the bar.
I know you said you googled, but did you happen to remove the shortcut arrow?

Why yes I did. This has something to do with that I take it?
Damnit, that's it I can't believe I didn't remember reading that before I did that. I hate the shortcut arrows though. :saddowns:

Then your googling is terrible and you should be ashamed of yourself

For that and also blaming everyone else
