• PC for Video Recording/Editing - Will This Work?

Okay, so...first things first: I already have a few parts that I acquired prior to this brilliant journey into Upgradeland. I'm working off of what was once a pre-built HP and still have the motherboard and CPU, but I'm intending to drop those and fully move on. Parts I have: -Mid-size ATX Case (fits standard ATX boards) -Blu-ray Burner -GeForce GTX 550 TI -8GB assorted ram sticks (1600) -Corsair 650TX -(2x) 1TB HDDs -All of those other parts required but not listed because how do parts Parts I'm looking at currently: -MSI 970A-G43 -AMD FX-6300 Budget: $160-165 For reference, my current CPU is a Phenom II x2 521. It is soldered to the motherboard currently in the system, which doesn't support AM3+ anyhow. Also, I'm going to be sticking with stock cooling, due to my budget. I'm really considering the listed motherboard because of its price and number of USB ports (because I use between 9 and 11 on a regular basis, currently using a hub just to keep up). Will this work for handling recording and editing videos? I'm using Dxtory to record videos and, currently, I can't record stuff like Dishonored (~74fps) and Minecraft (~65fps) without getting almost 80% framerate drops. Disclaimer: I'm an AMD fanboy. Intel suggestions are not likely to be considered. My prior experience with Intel vs AMD is to blame.
With a $160-165 budget, you aren't going to record stuff very well. For recording you'll need to be looking at an i5 or, AMD's 'equivalent' the fx 8320/8350.
