Now it has the 9400M, Gmod and CSS are the only games i really play, how will this Imac do on Gmod and Css. I dont care at all for AA or any of that. Just FPS wise what do you think i will get?
Should max it. Also does this imac have bootcamp setup?
Yes it does im talking to you while running 7 on the imac =D
Give OSX a try when you aren't gaming, you might like it.
OSX can not play direct x games so not one of my favorite OS's.
Also if you max it out you should get around 30~40 ish fps.
Cosmic i love OSX im glad i got a mac, im aiming to be a film editor, im in a Final Cut Pro certification course and i got the new FCP studio with this mac. Honestly i wish OSX could play games as windows does, if it did then there would be no reason for windows.

He will max it fine without AA and AF, and he already stated he doesn't care about that stuff.
I say 40+ FPS without AA/AF and 30 with AA and AF.
Bootcamp or VMware it

omg soooo wrong to say that (i dont like mac or OSX not that its terrible) but man the things you can do in windows and the shit that only windows runs its always gonna be my first choice over OSX and i don't wan any of that well mac doesn't get virus's because the more people go over to mac's the more hackers are gonna spend there time cracking osx the only reason people don't crack it is kuz its not used as much as windows
[QUOTE=ghostofme;19457849]Because ya know, Gmod is a very demanding game...

At 1920x1080? I doubt it. The card gets 45 FPS in TF2 at 1024x768 with no anti-aliasing or anisotropic filtering.

on my macbook (with the 9400m) I have to play with everything on low with textures set to medium at 1024x768.
high: 62fps
low: 18fps
average: 34fps

On my Macbook with the 9400m, I played on DX9 at the native resolution (1280x800) with settings at medium/highish with around the same FPS.

Well I find it stupid of him to not want to run his games at his monitor's native resolution.
