I thought that people were exaggerating about her so I did the quest that you can recruit her. As soon as you talk to her she just seemed like a 'random is funny amirite' character that I told her to fuck off. Bull isnt that great either, but I do quite like Cassandra and Dorien, as well as the advisors you get with the exception of Leiliana.
The characters in this game aren't all bad, but some really stick out in a negative way
Eh, Sera is pretty forgettable.
Sera is probably the worst written character. it's just LOLSORANDUMXD that i immediately left her at the keep and never even touched her again. i don't know what about her but it just grates the fuck outta me.
I can get her killed or enslaved right? Right?
What the fuck? Everyone's been shitting on this character since launch.

she is ugly as shit
[editline]27th November 2014[/editline]
why does she look SO GREASY DOES THIS BITCH even WASH
when I see her I just imagine the smell of tuna and girl BO masked by cheap perfume
That's a funny way to spell Varric
Dorian is probably my favorite. But i love Cassandra too <3
There wasn't a single thing I liked about her. Didn't like the model, didn't like the voice acting, didn't like the writting, not even her skills were worth it.

that's basically everyone in this. bioware has little to no knowledge on how to model a convincing face
I actually disliked Sera. It felt like a hyperactive humor, and reliance on surprising/random dialogue alone isn't very interesting and also gets old incredibly quick. I've no issue with the voice actor, but her face looks off to me. She's not attractive looking-which is fine-but it's more a result of looking really weird instead of just not the worlds prettiest elf.
I actually ended up liking all of the other characters with the exception of Cole, but even then I don't dislike him.
I'm surprised at how well written some of the characters actually are. I loved Cassandra, Dorian surprised the hell out of me and good god Cullen actually is actually one of the best written characters in the game despite not being a party member. Varric's consistently great too, but that didn't surprise me.

I can't make it past that first paragraph.
Holy shit. I like to write as a hobby, but I can manage better than this.
Varric > everyone else
Varric > everyone else
varric is a super bro
Right there in the article they give the primary fucking reason why she's god-awful.
Sera is not like most people. Not elves, people people. She’s not much like elves either, though. She talks like a hyperactive, thoroughly modern teenager and anarchist. She’s “in your face” this, and “innit” that, and she likes “sticking it” to the man.
How inept and tasteless do you have to be to think she's any good?

She's completely anachronistic and literally has no context to the game; Bull is the same; except his context is at least character-consistent.
I'd rather ride the Bull thank you.

The problem with Bull isn't Bull himself, but rather that a lot of what he says about the Qunari contradicts what Sten said on the first game.

but thansk to Iron Bull, we get more info about the Qunari considering we don't see alot of them since Dragon Age 2 and how wierd it all is... The Qun is almost basically a Communist/Theocracy/Caste based system based on old age secret police and every fucking person is controlled, there is no such "freedom" of any strain... Which kinda makes me curious how far and advance they became with their discovery of gunpowder and cannon's on their dreadnaughts.
I see the qunari as borderline dangerous and neutral evil/lawful evil.
Sera is honestly one of the worse parts of the game. I can get past the somewhat clumsy controls, the very mild plot, which to be honest is at least a plot and as such better than what DA2 had, and so on. But I can't get past Sera. That bitch will never be having a part of my playthroughs, fuck her.
Also why isn't DA:I just about the Mage Templar war? It's way, way more interesting and honestly kind of the meat of the plot anyway.

No, thanks to Iron Bull we know even less about Qunari, since every game says a different thing.
