• What kind of good, sturdy and reliable cleaning software is out there?

Back in the days, i usually went with some Uniblue Registry booster that, in my opinion, seemed to do an okay job. It dealt with a wide variety of things. Broken or invalid registry keys, some malware'ish cleanup, small bits and bobs, and also had some Boost Your PC or whatever, that took care of things on your computer, that either didn't do anything effective or didn't really have a purpose whatsoever. But i am not very fond of it today, since the never versions and updates, seems to have changed the program to do whatever it pleases, i have less options of what i want removed and DON'T want removed, because i always like to go over the detailed report of things it wants to get rid of or fix. Dunno why you wouldn't just use CCleaner.
CCleaner is great. All of Piriforms programs are for that matter, and they're all free. Malwarebytes is a good free program for Malware removal. They made it that you needed to use an email to download it off the website but you can just get past that by going straight to the download page on Cnet
Ccleaner, malwarebytes, MSE (or just windows defender if your on win 8), and smart defrag That's what I do
I just use CCleaner and MSE. Very lightweight, free and not bloated to hell and back. They're also both made by reputable businesses that I trust.
Defraggler, from the same minds behind CCleaner, Piriform, is also a great tool for straight-forward, efficient defragging with mediocre or better results.
Neat. Thank you gents!
for general usage, ccleaner avira malwarebytes defraggler recuva
