Any budget?
You won't have a use for the fx series so no. An i5 2500k will perform miles better, both within gaming and most likely within other tasks too.
The new FX series are shit. Bulldozer is a failure. There is such a small amount of programs what use more than 4 cores. Most even use only 1-2 cores, including some games for some reason.. more than 4 cores are only useful when you compile and render a lot. And I mean a lot, not like I ADD TXT TO VIDYA I NEED MOAR CORES MOAR POWAR. Only 6 cores worth buying are the Intel ones. Well, if you are on a tight budget and alaready have a AM3 MOBO you can buy the Phenom II X6 but otherwise it is dumb.

You added laptop ram to your build which won't work, I don't see why you need an Ethernet card either. Also Caviar green drives are slow, get something else. I also highly recommend getting a 2500K instead of a Bulldozer. If you need to keep costs down to get an i5 you could get a cheaper power supply, TX's are overpriced anyway. [editline]21st January 2012[/editline] Oh and to respond to your OP. Getting a 6 core or 8 core Bulldozer is the opposite of future proof. It's not even 8 cores in the same sense that we think of cores with typical processors, it only has 4 floating point units and 8 integer units.
You added laptop ram to your build which won't work
I'll have to change that.
I don't see why you need an Ethernet card either
I'm pretty sure that Motherboard doesn't have integrated Ethernet and we have our internet here going through a router, so yeah.
Caviar green drives are slow, get something else.
Any recommendations?
I also highly recommend getting a 2500K instead of a Bulldozer.
The FX 6100 is the same speed as the 2500K, and only 0.1 GhZ slower than the 2600K. Not to mention it's easy to overclock.

They are the easiest CPUs to OC ever. Get a 2500K and a GOOD Z68 Asus or ASRock mobo. For the HDD get a WD Blue/Black or a Spinpoint F3.

The i5-2500k does far more per hz than the FX 6100 because the architecture is better.

Clock speed isn't the only element that goes into performance. Look up any comparisons, the 2500k kills the FX 6100 in almost (if not all) categories. Even the fx 8xxx one doesn't touch the 2500k. If you are absolutely hellbent on going AMD for some reason, you're probably better off getting the Phenom 2 X4 955. Get the 2500k. -damn ninja x2-
What about the 2600K?
What about the 2600K?
Unless you do HEAVY video editing and rendering then it isn't worth it. Also buy from Newegg if you're in America, they're supposedly cheaper.

I can't see your country, why aren't you ordering from Newegg? You can usually get better prices there. That PSU should be fine though.

The thermal armor is actually proven to increase temperatures rather than decrease them. http://www.amazon.com/ASRock-Z68-CrossFireX-Motherboard-EXTREME4/dp/B0050DQSLW Extreme4, better board than the sabertooth at stock. If you plan to install a fan on the Sabertooth then it may be a better choice. Without the fan the sabertooth actually runs hotter with the thermal armor though. [editline]21st January 2012[/editline] http://www.amazon.com/Antec-Computer-Power-Supply-HCG-750/dp/B0046L1PC6 Better PSU for around the same amount of money.
