• Using 2 different RAM sticks

Hello all, I am here to ask for a bit of assistance. I am staying a while at my friends house, but he only has 256 mb of RAM, and I found another RAM stick (256 mb) in one of his older computers, but of course, after installing it into his functioning computer, it still read only the 256 mb that was there before. The two ram sticks are: Korea PC2100U, and a Crucial RAM stick. (The numbers aren't listed because they aren't shown on the stick) Any suggestions on how to get these to work? Thanks.
are they the same kind of RAM?
are they the same kind of RAM?
I couldn't tell you that. What I can say is they are different brand names, but same sizes.
whichever one is the one you found, put that in the slot where the original one is [editline]02:24AM[/editline] actually, just swap them both and power on both computers, I think maybe the old computer just had bad RAM.
Ill mess with it in the morning, but meanwhile, if anyone else has anything to say, please do.
