also there's lots of things i dislike about enemy unknown when comparing it to the original:
- the camera is ass
- shit inventory management compared to the original

I heard somewhere that the achievements are actually from another game and it's an error with Steam.
Also they aren't there in XCOM's achievements anymore.

I agree with you on movement limitations and not being able to shoot freely but if you wanted just the original XCOM with new graphics then get Xenonauts.

The inventory was fine. I get it how it can be annoying limiting one person to one set of weapons and one equipment but that just meant you had to adapt your play style and have specific people for certain roles.

Just kidding. You're entitled to your views, just as much as I am. I haven't enjoyed a game as much as I have enjoyed this one in ages. I think its a good modernization of the old concepts, if it doesn't really live up to the depth or not doesn't matter to me. I have fun with it.

You get the the weapons and weapon parts off of dead bodies after the level is done.

Actually hes mostly right about the shit inventory management compared to the original.
A lot of his points are design moves that I can understand that the devs made, though.

have you even played the original??? you could literally walk over a dead body, whether it be a teammate or an alien, and pick up their fucking body and whatever shit they had, which meant medkits, blaster launchers, ammo, etc.

Never had any problems with the camera except on one UFO landing mission. And then it was perfectly fine when I pressed the handy-dandy Q and E keys that rotate the camera. No one seems to know about these.

Yeah I had that problem today. My medic went critical but could be revived. Too bad my medic had all the medkits! That's why I always have two supports now.

Yeah I didn't really know where to put the cover one but the camera is fine same with the inventory. At least this time it carries over.
i think my biggest gripe is that you can bring 6 soldiers max per mission and since they're just as squishy as in the first game, the game feels a bit too random especially at the beginning when you only have 4 soldiers with shit armor, if an alien gets a crit then you just lost most of your firepower, not counting panics

I know how to freaking rotate the camera. You're only given four directions to move the camera and while sometimes they can fix the problem often time it's a clipping problem with the terrain. Along with the annoying ass map tile selection that likes to bug out and make you move to a completely different tile.
