So I've been playing some Modern Warfare 2 and it's complete shit, so I decided the next fps I want to play is Bad Company 2. The specs for that game is insane, and my crappy computer won't be able to run it. So I've decided I want a custom built computer. I don't know much about computers so I would like you guys to help. I live in Australia, have a budget of around $1700 but try to keep it around the $1500 range.
LOL
Bad Company 2 =/= Computer over $1500 Australian Dollars (about $1400 I think in USD)
Heck, maybe for $1000 AustralianDollars/~900? USD you can get one that maxes it out.
I'm a newbie here, so hopefully my post will bump (which I just learned what it meant) your thread up and the pros can look at this problem
Edit: Let me try to build one for you (don't flame me fellow FPers, just want to see if I have learned anything about computers in the past month.
Note: I kind of cheated. ~1,074.92 AUD

Get a 5770 instead. Get the sapphire one. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102864&cm_re=5770-_-14-102-864-_-Product
only 155$, 15$ more than the 5750, but better performance. I just got one and it's pretty amazing.

No, unfortunately. Also you would be surprised at how much we pay for hardware in Australia, and in my personal opinion it's far too much.

They've got a massive collection and they are as cheap as chips. :v:

Damn.
Can someone please make me a build with the msy link. Also I'm getting a friend to get parts together and build. I'm just paying for it.
Oh and I would like this build to run Crysis too. That game has been in my closet catching dust for a while now. Bought it on a sale for 10 bucks :D

I have to agree, it flies through most games.

Depending on your screen size it should run.

Unfortunately for me I don't have an MSY where I live.
Lets see if we can get a MSY build before New Years here in Aus.

Wait, OP are you building the system? It says you do not know much about computers.

LOL sorry
Mm
http://www.centrecom.com.au/
It seems Centrecom is in Victoria :/. I would much rather pick up my parts than having it delivered to me.
Buying at a store costs way more.

microcenter :mmmsmug:
I love australia, but the prices for comp parts are pretty bad...

Sure, but I just checked the prices for MSY, and it's amazing. Now I just need help choosing the right parts.
Centrecom are cheaper than MSY and ship nationally.

Actually i just checked a few parts from MSY and compared it to Centrecom. MSY is cheaper by around 20 bucks for most parts and yes I checked like 5 parts. Still Centrecom has more parts, but I want a build from MSY because it's cheap and I can walk to the place to pick up my parts.
