digital imaging should be a bigger focus than games i hope to god
they are making huge strides there currently
It may seem like a good move, but it's really a stupid move. Especially if 6% of their work force are going to go jobless.
10,000 jobs, holy shit.
I shouldn't feel bad for a giant corporation but I really do. Sony has made some awesome hardware that I've owned.
Hopefully some of those people can bounce back and find work.
Yeah i was one of those people. But since my town makes all the ps3 games in the US then maybe we might get hired back on.

except for the 10,000 people who lost their job

I don't know what you did at sony, but keep busy. Make flash games to maybe bring in some ad rev.
What exactly = digital imaging?
Are we talking about programs like Sony Vegas or their displays/TV/hardware?
if sony removed the PSN pass bullshit then maybe i'd care about this

I wondered that too. It seems crazy for them to be dropping out of the TV business.

I take that back, it's not crazy at all for them to get out of the TV business.
