I'm going to my local computer parts place that also builds the computers for a small fee but I was wondering if you guys could write me up some good gaming specs between my budget.
Thanks in advance. Quick replies are a must. I'm going tomorrow at noon EST and I'm going to bed in an hour. So please reply quickly.
Thanks.
umm
basic outline:
PII 955 BE (or 965 if you overclock, they are higher binned i hear)
HD 4890 (maybe 2?)
i would wait till October to get a 5 series card, maybe a 4770 would do good until then
I'm also looking into rebuilding my computer completely, my budget is around 850$-1000$
i just want to make it to where i can play left 4 dead (and other source games) on high settings.
thanks in advance.

Yeah same but I'm looking to expand more into games like ARMA II and Crysis. But those do not have to run at max settings.
Don't use a local computer store. Use newegg (if you live in Canada or the USA.)

yeah it don't have to be on max settings as long as i can play left 4 dead with my friends(or any other game at that).

Not overspending on the psu at all.
Not overspending on the psu at all.
fuckin' a man, the greater things in life cost more.
You don't spend too little on a PSU - never cheap out on PSUs.
Holy fuck that psu is overpriced.

Doesn't mean to buy an overpriced PSU when you can get something like a Corsair that has more wattage and is more reliable.

Yeah this store is like newegg and not somewhere like Best Buy. They'll have all the parts and build it in the a day or two. My brothers friends have used it in the past.
And thanks for all the builds. I'll be taking them in tomorrow.

It just so happens my friend had that exact PSU fail on him, but it might have been a lemon

Suck to be him. It's a great PSU so he did something wrong or is unlucky.
