I installed Ubuntu 9.10 via Wubi on my HP Mini 311, and it boots fine, I have to use Safe Graphic Mode, but that's no big deal. The install completed the first time and it put me into the desktop, in a "live session" mode, so I rebooted. When it started to boot again, it started the install process again, acting as if it had never been installed in the first place.
Any ideas?
Fixed it, but when I try to install the Nvidia drivers, I get a kernel panic and it won't let me boot anymore.
Nvidia drivers normally wouldn't cause a kernel panic. Try to force it to boot with vesa drivers.

I just did a quick reinstall to clear the old kernel panic I was having, and after install it won't boot, it's getting stuck on my wifi card. No error message, it just never passes a message concerning my wifi.
Ubuntu doesn't often have issues with wifi cards, at least in my experience. Can you get to your error logs?

It's not an error message, it just gets stuck at this:
b43-pci-bridge 0000:03:00.0: setting latency timer to 64
It never moves beyond that point.
If it's integrated, I'd say you're stuck until someone who knows more about wifi comes in.
If it's a dedicated card though, try and remove it if it's not more of a hassle than it's worth. See if it boots up then.

It's integrated into the netbook, I guess I'll wait then, lol.
Thanks for the help though :)
