• Best headsets <$50

So I want a headset. Nothing real crazy because I have 5.1 surround already. I need something with a good mic and ok sound for when I take my computer to LANs. I started looking around and I think I found the best headsets. I really did look around a lot and there isn't much. There are a few Logitech ones but they look to small and uncomfortable. There is this one http://www.plantronics.com/north_america/en_US/products/computer/multi-use-computer-headsets/audio-655 and this one http://www.plantronics.com/north_america/en_US/products/computer/gaming-headsets/gamecom-367 Now I know what you are thinking. That first one is $60 not $50. Well look at these deals for both of them: http://shops.godaddy.com/ANTOnline/AUDIO-655-USB-Stereo-Headset/ http://www.google.com/products/catalog?hl=en&safe=off&client=firefox-a&q=Plantronics+GameCom+367&cid=15687980245480626183&sa=title#scoring=tp I ordered the first one (the .audio 655) before I had found the Gamecom 367. I just canceled my $30 order for the .audio 655 and I'm going to purchase the gamecom 367 instead because it looks much cooler, more comfortable, $10 cheaper, and bigger speakers. It is also designed for gaming, not just regular use but there can't be too much of a difference. The only thing is I wish the gamecom was USB like the .audio because I'd love to not have to screw around with the stupid audio controller and also be able to select my headset to play Ventrillo only and have my surround speakers play the game sounds. I can't find a 1/8" stereo to USB for my life. The converter that comes with more expensive gamecom model is exactly what I need:http://www.plantronics.com/north_america/en_US/products/computer/gaming-headsets/gamecom-777 I'm not really sure what the point of this thread is. I just wanted to show you guys this because I think it's a great deal for both of these headsets. I looked around for a long time and these are the only appealing looking ones under $50. I'd also love it if someone found a converter for me. [editline]01:30AM[/editline] Hm, I didn't see this thread - http://www.facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=868300 I'm reading through it now. It seems that some of you own a pair of one of these headphones, so I ask, should I get the Gamecon or the .Audio, or do you have something else that you would recommend? I don't want to add the extra mic clip thing, because I don't want the extra cable getting in the way. I'm also not obsessed with sound quality because like I said, I already have a surround sound system. I just want something nice, affordable and practical.
