I finally have enough money and I want to buy a pre-built computer. I'm looking at the Gamer Scorpius 8000 for $699. I want to know what parts to interchange to get the best deal, I'm pretty new to this "pc building" thing.
Here's the PC:

Quick question. Why aren't you building it? Be honest, if it's because you have never built a pc before/afraid to screw up we can help you through the process.
No no no no no [B]NO[/B]
Build it yourself, not buy from someone.
I assume your maximum budget is $700?
Yes, that's my maximum budget.
My friend just ordered a pre built pc from this website and his doesn't have any issues.
[editline]29th September 2012[/editline]
Also, what is so bad about buying a pc from there?
Just because your friend bought a prebuilt doesn't mean you should. You can easily save yourself a bit of money if you build it yourself.
Give me five minutes and I'll give you a good build.
What website are you building it from? newegg?
[QUOTE=DarkOps;37846352]What website are you building it from? newegg?[/QUOTE]
Newegg, NCIX, amazon are all good sites to order parts from in the US
Yes, along with others that might come up like NCIX, and a few others here and there.
Is it possible to build a really good gaming pc with my budget?
[editline]29th September 2012[/editline]
Do I have to buy the operating system seperately?

It's possible to build a good gaming pc for $600+OS, but you don't hit great until around $800-$900.
I do have enough money for an 800, but I don't want it to screw up.
[editline]29th September 2012[/editline]
So, I budgeted myself for 700
You'll perform well if you turn some settings down.
Also, do you need an OS included or do you already have a key?
I need a new OS

I need to know why it is bad to buy a pre-built from cyberpowerpc.com
[editline]29th September 2012[/editline]
Also, I don't need the monitor, unless its less than 100$

I only used Newegg, but already this pc is better than the prebuilt.
Wow thanks, but I also need a mouse and keyboard
[QUOTE=DarkOps;37846477]I need to know why it is bad to buy a pre-built from cyberpowerpc.com[/QUOTE]
They aren't the worst offenders, but you get screwed on the labor they charge behind the scenes.

[QUOTE=DarkOps;37846546]Wow thanks, but I also need a mouse and keyboard[/QUOTE]
If you have a Bestbuy or local computer store like Fry's Marketplace/Microcenter by your house then go check them out. I've given up recommending keyboards/mice because everyone is different in what they like.
I'm willing to pay over the budget for a mouse+keyboard
[editline]29th September 2012[/editline]
Any cheap generic mouse and keyboard is fine
You will get better parts for the same budget if you build yourself instead of buying.
Okay I found a keyboard+mouse with good reviews on them for 6$ each. I think I'm all set.
[editline]29th September 2012[/editline]
Overall budget is 701$
[editline]29th September 2012[/editline]
Unless there's anything else you guys want to tell me, I'm gonna buy it now. Thanks for all your help guys.
All I can say is thanks for listening to reason without telling us off in the process. Enjoy your pc bro.
The order has been processed. I'll be back in a few days to ask how to put it together correctly.

Newegg has a tutorial:

You could also go on YouTube and search for "how to build a PC" for other tutorials too.

Newegg does a great job explaining how to build it. Not to mention your case manual and mobo manual will also tell you everything you need to know in terms of wiring.
[editline]29th September 2012[/editline]
And ninja'd by a good post.
Why did it order my mouse for separate shipping and handling?

It's all a matter of personal preference at the end of the day.
Not even talking about looks, there's absolutely no cable management in the 300 and it's outdated
I already bought it all, quit getting your panties in a bunch.
[QUOTE=DarkOps;37851856]I already bought it all, quit getting your panties in a bunch.[/QUOTE]
He was trying to make it a bit easier for you had you not ordered it already, no need to say that.
But good luck with the build, hope everything turns out well.
