In a bout of generosity, Bethesda and GOG are giving away free digital copies of The Elder Scrolls: Arena and The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall to anyone who buys a title from the above list.
Or you could just download them from Bethesda's site free of charge, no need to buy anything.
The version of Fallout on GOG that came before this has a lot more extra features that you can download, this new version has no extra features except the manual and the old one was made unlisted, not sure why they didn't just merge the two versions.
For now
There's always Arena/DaggerfallSetup, if Bethesda doesn't go after it.
It's like Christmas today. I just read Turok 1 and 2 are going to be released again too.
Never thought i would see a larger company finally put their games on GOG. Wish a few more companies would follow suit.
Finally Redguard is available, does anyone know if it would even works on windows 7?
Finally Redguard is available, does anyone know if it would even works on windows 7?
GOG requires their games to work on modern operating systems.

While really cool, the shooters were already functioning essentially DRM free from Steam. Are they functionally any different from their Steam releases?

Huh, since when was Quake subtitled "The Offering"? Is that new?
Huh, since when was Quake subtitled "The Offering"? Is that new?
it's quake bundled with some map packs
it's quake bundled with some map packs
The two mission packs specifically I believe. The GoG deal is better, bundling the base game and mission packs together for $10 while Steam does base for $10 and mission packs for $5, so you pay twice as much on Steam. Getting Doom 1/2/Final is still cheaper on Steam by a dollar though. Steam offers them at $5 each while GoG bundles Doom 2/Final for $10 and Doom 1 separately for $6.
Is it a fix that isn't available elsewhere?
As a separate WAD from TeamTNT and using fanmade patching tools, but AFAIK with official ID releases it's only been included in the IWAD itself in some editions of one pack.
I never realized that there were no Quake games at all on GOG, I really hope they'll bring the whole series in.
FUCK! Today in the morning i was checking out some stuff about Bethesda and GOG, along with their 1 year old tweets and thinking "Oh so they WANT to get into GOG. But by the looks of it i think Zenimax won't let them". Now BAM! There they are!
This is cool and all, but it doesn't really make a difference because you can get past the DRM just by using a sourceport (if you're using DOSBox Doom I feel really bad for you)
Or you could just download them from Bethesda's site free of charge, no need to buy anything.
Maybe they've given them the good old games charm of working flawlessly on modern systems as opposed to that site though
Even though it was stupid of me, I was secretly hoping this meant Fallout 4 would be available on GOG. Because if that was the case, I'd buy like 10 copies faster than you could blink. Nice to see that the Fallout games are available on GOG again, even though I already got my free copy of Fallout whenever GOG was handing them out years back.

There are 2 versions of each. Interplay and Bethesda. Interplay ones have Classic added at the end, while Bethesda ones don't. The only difference is that Bethesda one is exactly the same as the Steam one, but most likely patched for modern PC (Dunno how the Steam version is btw).
