Have you ever dreamt of having an all-in-one gaming machine that consolidates a full gaming PC with your favorite consoles? Well, the designers at Origin PC have, and today announced the introduction of The Big O; a high-power gaming PC that features a built-in Xbox 360.
Each PC comes with a built-in Xbox 360 'Slim', which can be played while the PC is running other tasks and software, and supports all of the same connections and features of a full console. While the built-in Xbox 360 is certainly the biggest selling point of The Big O, it is actually one of the fastest gaming rigs available. The entry level version of the system features an overclocked 4.0GHz Intel Core i7 930 processor, a liquid cooled Rampage III Extreme motherboard, dual NVIDIA GTX 480 GPUs, 6GBs of memory, dual 50GB SSD drives, a 2TB hard drive, Creative Fatal1ty sound card, and built-in Blu-ray burner. Sounds expensive? It is; Origin has priced the base configuration at $7,669.
In the configuration used by CPU Magazine, which features dual Intel Xeon X5680 processors overclocked to 4.3GHz, an EVGA SR2 motherboard, liquid cooling, quad SLI EVGA GTX 480 GPUs, 12GBs of memory, four 50GB SSD drives, two 2TB hard drives, a built-in Blu-ray burner, and a built-in 8 channel HD audio sound card, at a price of $16,999.
I like the concept of having an XBox 360 custom made to fit a pc, but the insane price tag from it being a prebuilt makes it... ridiculously unaffordable?!
I saw it and to be honest. Even if i had the money to purchase one. I still wouldn't buy it. There are way cooler systems out there for that amount of money, but that's just my opinion..
I could get the same amount of functionality by duct taping a fucking xbox to the side of my PC. This isn't even remotely exciting, it's just a fancy enclosure.
The only problem is that it probably doesn't fit inside your case. But you can mod your case or something :v:

No, I mean just literally duct tape it to the side. It's less polished, sure, but is just as practical.
Oh, outside the case? Yeah you could do that.
Oh and I just got the idea of rebuilding a 360 in a PC case, would be kinda cool.
Where's the giant robots and the Bruce Wayne impersonator?

Now I have the idea of putting a computer in an Xbox case.
Much better.
I need to mount that in a roomba and let it govern the world.
You can do this with a Mozart TX case, for a fraction of the cost.

this
Why can you buy an xbox for around £160 but to buy the parts listed for this supercomputer would cost thousands?
I wonder if anyone has actually bought this yet?
A wet dream for geeks
even geeks know that this isnt worth it
needs a PS3 version and combo version for a mere $24,999

I've seen someone do that with an Xbox 360 Pro, where they just gutted the inside of the Xbox and set it up to function as a PC. It was pretty awesome, I'm not going to lie.
it's funny that they would throw so much expensive shit and there and only get a 930
I want one with all consoles ever made built in
for that price you can do way better. :colbert:
Big O? like that old show that used to air on adult swim?

i know this isnt it, but im pretty sure the name is copyrighted

For some reason the name "The Big O" reminds me of a large dildo or a vibrator. It might just be me though...

Because it's an overpriced hunk of shit.

Makes me think of burgers.
It looks like a huge chunk of shit, with the added dysfunctionality of an Xbox360 accompanied by the price tag of a used car. Albeit, the used car is far more useful than this waste.
here we are:

BIG OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
The original opening was better, just because it was so hilariously crappy.

the show itself is hilariously crappy
"WITH THE POWER OF GOD I WILL LIFT THE ARMS OF THIS ROBOT AND MAGICALLY KILL THIS DEMON"
[editline]10:24AM[/editline]
seriously all that stupid robot did was walk, then raise its arms and shoot shit out of the arms
completely mind numbingly retarded show, i cannot believe it has any following if it does
I'm sorry, but for 17.000 $ I'd buy myself an Alfa Romeo.
It's good to see a company that sells great powerful PCs and laptops, something definitely lacking in todays pussy-ass i5 and Atom systems.
