• Is a vanilla DarkRP and/or TTT server a good idea?

Hey all, Lately I've been browsing around the Garry's Mod server list and seeing a lot of DarkRP and TTT servers with custom content. Generally this isnt an issue, custom content usually means more features and so on, however, this isnt exactly the case. A lot of these servers are packed full of absolute crap from the workshop like M9K weapons (Which the server might use 5 weapons from), all of the TDM cars collections (Not a problem, however I use the SVN and am forced to redownload all of the cars), player models which arent used, and so on. The other day I found myself wanting to play TTT, however I didnt want to wait an hour to download the content, only to be kicked by an 8 year old admin. Now the question: Does anyone think a vanilla (Or lightly modded) DarkRP or TTT server is viable in Australia? By lightly modded I mean more code mods than content mods. I dont want to introduce content downloads unless there is a very good reason for it. I understand that quite a few people here are not from Australia or Oceania for that matter, so this question doesnt really apply, but input from all is welcome.
I actually had this thought recently as well. Sometimes I just want to log onto a server and dick around for a little bit. I don't want to sink too much time into downloading stupid files I probably won't even need because I don't have full permissions for the server. A completely or nearly completely vanilla server for DarkRP and TTT might actually be a breath of fresh air.
Dont get me wrong, servers with custom content still have their place and all but when all servers are subscribed to every single item on the workshop, it sucks when you just want to play a few rounds of TTT or kill some time on DarkRP or whatever. I'm looking into seeing if I can get some initial players going so if it works out, it should be good.
