I have 2 22" monitors on right now using DVI. Can I plug in my television using the video wire the card came with and have all three going at the same time?
No.
Second card (8500GT?) or TripleHead2Go is your only choice.
Alright thanks.
I'm planning on picking up another 9800gtx+ for sli.
Or I might upgrade to a GTX275.
What would be better?
2 9800gtx+ > gtx 275
Wait a month or two for the new cards to come out.

Which cards are coming out?
I don't keep up with the releases.
I only have $250 US to spend.
ATI has new stuff coming down the tubes.
For 250?
i would think for the very low end

If you are using 9800gtx and 9800gtx+ sli then put the sli connector on the second slot

If I do end up SLIing I'll get the exact same card.
You think the lower end ATI cards coming out will be better than a GTX275?
uh no
4850 at release was 200
The prices on older ones would go down I'm expecting, so yeah.

That's what I thought. I didn't know if Pris meant to get the 275 when it drops or if he meant the new ATIs.

Sorry I wasn't clear, but I meant to type mid range which usually doesn't beat a flagship card. that is of the last generation.
um
4850 trashed 3870 and came damn close to the 3870 x2
the 3870 didn't even beat a 8800gt though. 9800gtx got beaten by it, but the 9800gx2 did not.
The next generation of cards is lined up to beat the 260 easily, the 285 maybe but no way in hell on the 295.
Quick question that's slightly related, and very stupid.
Can you use 3 monitors by using the two outputs on your video card, and one by using the integrated graphics on your motherboard? I'm guessing it's not because they aren't connected, but I'm just curious.
Sorry for the hijack.
on hybrid Sli i know you can.
otherwise only if you have a 3 way split, like EVGA's triple header thingy
the 3870 didn't even beat a 8800gt though. 9800gtx got beaten by it, but the 9800gx2 did not.

what
a 5870 or gtx 360/375 will trash a gtx 295 mark my words
Ahh. the 5870 isn't going to be under $250 if i remember the 4870 was $320 at release
we're talking about mid range cards
299
but a 5850, judging by expectations, will beat a gtx 275
299

i kinda said that by saying that it might beat a 285, but will beat a 275
The 9800gtx was beat by a 8800gt?
[editline]06:13AM[/editline]
And I might be able scrounge up some extra cash for a 300 dollar card.
sorry for that discrepancy but i meant that the 4850 beat it, however the 3870 got beaten by the 8800gt
Alright, I got you.

You should be able to. Try it and find out.

Did you happen to read anything everyone else posted?
I appreciate the help, but it ain't gonna work.
You can also get a splitter, but don't expect to be able to play games on the monitor with a splitter unless you enjoy playing slide-shows.

You cannoit connect monitors onto any SLI enabled cards except the primary.

All I see is one person said it wouldn't and everyone else talking about GPUs. Have you even tried connecting the TV?
I haven't tried it myself, but I'm very tempted to go do it now. If only I had a TV close enough :raise:
