Nice read. Reminds me of the discussion we had elsewhere on how strong or well made the impact in spec ops the line was. Since the game was very linear. It had very little impact to gamers.
it's impossible to create a feeling of guilt if you truly have no other choice, as in many videogames.
Last of Us was the only game to date, where I felt a little bit of guilt, when (in the video) the guy begged for his life, before he got killed.
I honestly never even thought to play dishonored like that, I let everyone but the Pendleton brothers and a few guards live. Guess that's one way to do it, I know I would've felt guilty :v:

I remember reading from one of the developers when they demoed that scene, that they felt unnerved when the crowd broke out into applause when the guy got killed.

apparently it makes the game much easier just to plow through everyone, which I guess makes sense since it basically makes Dunwall twenty times shittier if you do it that way.
